$559,929.49 jackpot awarded in Christopher Lake!
Saskatoon, SK – Western Canada Lottery Corporation (WCLC) is pleased to announce a Vault Breaker jackpot prize awarded by the Saskatchewan VLT program. Mark Kulbida of Saskatoon was awarded $559,929.49 after winning the grand jackpot on Vault Breaker at LT’s Fuel and Food in Christopher Lake.
The winner was away on a fishing trip in Christopher Lake when he decided to stop for bait and to play Vault Breaker.
“When the fourth icon landed, I thought, ‘Oh, my God! I won $14,000!’” he laughed. “Then the fifth icon landed…”
“I just retired in March,” he continued. “So many great things are happening in life for me.”
Those great things, he says, are only the beginning. The new winner has a young grandchild and another on the way, and with his windfall, he plans to keep the family cottage in the family and continue creating lasting memories there for years to come.
“I want to make sure [my family] can enjoy going to [the family cottage],” he said. “We made a lot of memories up there. I want to keep making those memories with my grandkids – I can’t want to take them fishing!”
Vault Breaker is a wide-area progressive that links 4,200 VLTs located in more than 550 sites in nearly 270 communities across the province. There are three mystery jackpot tiers: the province-wide grand jackpot has a minimum value of $500,000 and pays out before it hits $1.5 million, the regional major jackpot has a minimum value of $5,000 and pays out before it hits $25,000, and the local site jackpot minimum is $100 and pays out before hitting $500. Any of the three jackpot tiers can be awarded when a patron plays Vault Breaker.
The province-wide jackpot has awarded $65,054,404.65 to 66 winners since June 2017. Vault Breaker’s province-wide grand jackpot has now been reset to $500,000.
