$1,448,697.88 jackpot awarded in Saskatoon!

Saskatoon, SK – Western Canada Lottery Corporation (WCLC) is pleased to announce a Vault Breaker jackpot prize awarded by the Saskatchewan VLT program. Christina Clarke of Stony Rapids was awarded $1,448,697.88 after winning the grand jackpot on Vault Breaker at Rock Creek Tap and Grill in Saskatoon on August 1.

“My two sisters and my mom and I were all playing,” Clarke said. “We each put in $20 and took turns pushing the button.”

“All of a sudden, the Vault Breaker came up,” she explained. “When it hit the grand jackpot, we all erupted in screams! It was very exciting.”

A couple of days after her win, Clarke said she is still feeling the surprise: “We really didn’t know what was happening when the Vault Breaker popped up,” she laughed. “We were all saying ‘What’s happening? What’s the grand jackpot?’ What did we win?’”

Clarke said she hasn’t made any big plans for her windfall, but she has a few ideas to get started.

“Our dream as sisters is to make sure mom lives a comfortable life,” she explained. “One sister will finish her education, the other will have some money for her kids’ education, and a couple of us are hoping to do some home renos!”

Vault Breaker is a wide-area progressive that links 4,200 VLTs located in approximately 570 sites in 270 communities across the province. There are three mystery jackpot tiers: the province-wide grand jackpot has a minimum value of $500,000 and pays out before it hits $1.5 million, the regional major jackpot has a minimum value of $5,000 and pays out before it hits $25,000, and the local site jackpot minimum is $100 and pays out before hitting $500. Any of the three jackpot tiers can be awarded when a patron plays Vault Breaker.

The province-wide jackpot has awarded $42,822,988.70 to 44 winners since June 2017. Vault Breaker’s province-wide grand jackpot has now been reset to $500,000.
