Vault Breaker jackpot awarded in Regina!
Regina, SK – Western Canada Lottery Corporation (WCLC) is pleased to announce a Vault Breaker jackpot prize awarded by the Saskatchewan VLT program. Larry Singer from Regina won an astounding $684,941.66 after hitting the grand jackpot on Vault Breaker while visiting Western Pizza on Dewdney Avenue on December 10th.
“Everyone was watching, and they were really excited,” Singer recalled as he claimed his prize. “I didn’t know what was going on!”
Singer said he initially thought that he had won $6,000 but he had in fact won over one hundred times that amount.
The happy winner has some plans for his windfall. ”I was so close to retiring,” he explained. “Now I’ll be able to for sure.”
Singer said he also had one more dream that this windfall will let him achieve: “Upon retiring I had a trip planned to the Maritimes, so now I’ll be able to take the trip in the summer!”
Vault Breaker is a wide-area progressive that links 4,200 VLTs located in approximately 570 sites in 270 communities across the province. There are three mystery jackpot tiers: the province-wide grand jackpot has a minimum value of $500,000 and pays out before it hits $1.5 million, the major regional jackpot has a minimum value of $5,000 and pays out before it hits $25,000, and the local site jackpot minimum is $100 and pays out before hitting $500. Any jackpot tiers can be won when a patron plays Vault Breaker.
The province-wide jackpot has awarded $26,165,047.92 to 28 winners since June 2017. Vault Breaker's province-wide grand bank resets to $500,000.
